Harvard Reference格式列表可以帮助读者找出原文出处，每一个出处都包含以下资讯:
作者名称
出版年份
标题

发行人
出版社
哈佛(Harvard)Reference格式论文格式遵循以下格式:
姓,名.(出版年份).标题.城市:发行人,出版社.
列表按照作者的姓并根据英文字母顺序排列。如果引用同一位作者的不同资料则按照出版日期排列。
1.引用作者只有一位的书
引用只有一位作者的书，列表排序如下:
Last name,First initial.(Year published).Title.Edition.(Only include the edition if it is not the first edition)City published:Publisher,Page(s).
如果这本书没有表明是第几版的话，则假设是初版，不需要说明。
范文:One author AND first edition:
Patterson,J.(2005).Maximum ride.New York:Little,Brown.
范文:One author AND NOT the first edition
Dahl,R.(2004).Charlie and the chocolate factory.6th ed.New York:Knopf.
2.引用两位作者或以上的书
当哈佛格式中引用的书的作者多于一位时，则按照书本上的排列顺序写上即可。使用“and”来分隔名字。

注意:只有不是初版的书需要注明版本!
